Maniva and Ex NATO base



When I open the windows of my house I see the mountains...
Near my home there are a lots of mountains with very nice streets and nice views but I think that the best mountain in this area is Maniva.

Maniva is special because the tourism is not intense and you can find yet tranquility, traditional food and footpaths in total silence.
An other particularity  of this area is the Colle Galli... this is a very big hill and on the top there is an old military base  currently abandoned. The view is incredible! You can see the big satellite dish. The height is about fifty meters and the upper structure is composed by pipes and rails ... amazing!
Officially  It is not possible to visit this area but if you like walking and the adventure you can  run across the old street and arrive near the base.
The fence is broken  and it is very easy to  cross it. ...
Be carful this area is abandoned and there are a lot debris but the sensations are very special.
It is incredible to think that ten years ago this place was full of military, in summer and in winter!
Please note that in this area in winter there is a lot of snow (also two metres)
Inside the base the rooms are empty but you can still  breathe the period of  Cold War...

LAGO D'IDRO

Se siete amanti della natura, dei laghi, delle montagne e per voi è meglio essere seduti su una spiaggia ad osservare il sole scendere dietro le montagne che essere in un bar a fare l'aperitivo allora vi consiglio un week-end o semplicemente una gita giornaliera sul lago d'Idro. Se avete un camper, una roulotte, o semplicemete una tenda dovere assolutamente pernottare al Camping Belevedere che si trova a circa un chilometro dal paese di Idro ed è completamente immerso nel verde. Se riuscite a portare con voi le biciclette è una ottima idea, perchè la strada che porta a vesta è particolarmente panoramica e una volta raggiuta la frazione di Vesta potete lasciare le biciclette e affrontare qualcuno dei facili sentieri sul lago. Chioggia e Sottomarina

Una amante come me della laguna non può certo farsi sfuggire una gita a Chioggia e Sottomarina. Chioggia è abbastanza vicina a casa (circa 200 km) e si raggiunge in circa due ore e mezza. A Sottomarina ci sono diverse aree sosta. Noi generalmente sostiamo nel parcheggio Arena che é comunale, abbastanza tranquillo (rimane comunque un parcheggio aperto) e costa max 10€ al giorno. In questi anni non abbiamo mai avuto problemi ed abbiamo sempre trovato posto anche nei weekend più affollati.  Di Sottomarina e Chioggia ci piace praticamente tutto… il fatto che le due cittadine di fondano insieme, di essere immerse nella laguna e di aver mantenuto una vera natura peschereccia le rendono uniche. Chioggia è chiamata la piccola Venezia, ma secondo me ha un’anima totalmente diversa. Qua la pesca fa ancora da padrona e rende la città vera e unica con il suo rapporto con la laguna.
